HarmonCPS have completed a refurbishment/conversion of a 1940’s 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house in Theydon Bois into a 4 double bedroom, 5 bathroom home. Three of the bedrooms have ensuites. The property was in much need of updating and had not had any work done to it since its construction.
On the outskirts of beautiful Epping Forest this property has been redesigned to the client’s high specification. The team at Harmon CPS are proud to have been an important part of such an extensive undertaking from its conception right the way through to the final finishing’s.
Extensive building work throughout has transformed the space completely. In the main area, on the ground floor, this was created into an open plan kitchen and diner by knocking down internal walls including the installation of supporting steels both on the ground and upper floors, the living area now has bi-folding doors that open onto the garden. The annex at the side of the house was also incorporated into the ground floor space. An outbuilding has been constructed in the garden that makes for either an additional space to retreat to, it is big enough to generate a further two rooms.
The additional bathrooms planned in the loft area meant that extensive roof deconstruction and reconstruction was necessary in order to extend and expand the top floor.
The whole property has had the benefit of a total electrical rewiring and plumbing. All windows were replaced with double glazing and the entire property including all walls were re-plastered, painted and decorated.
